Image
Vivienne Cawson  Flowers in watercolour In her career, Vivienne Cawson has worked as a designer of printed carpets, art and design teacher and a professional painter. She is a Leicester educated watercolour artist and she specialises in flowers and portraits. Her work is inspired by colours and shapes of flowers, pieces of fabric, tablecloths and her favourite jugs. She runs workshops and exhibitions all over UK and her watercolours can be bought in the form of accessories, artcards, books, calendars cushions, gift cards, greeting cards, bookmarks, original art, portraits, floral watercolours and prints. Flowers, which are a universal symbol of beauty, are a traditional decorative motive and can be used on many different surfaces and products. Her selection of products is an inspiration for what I would like to achieve in my project for florist shop accessories.  In her works Vivienne Cawson uses natural, fresh, vibrant contemporary colours for her still life and often puts them togeth

Who I am?

During today lesson we had exercise to draw an outline of our whole body and write, draw, add symbols or other creative way that we like. First off all we began by thinking of our childhood. We should answer on questions: where did you live, who did you live with, what do you remember from when you were small, our first memory, your strongest memories, what colours do you see, what do you feel and so on.   I was born on 1st of June 1989 in Glogow,  Poland. This town is located in western Poland.  I have to say that My childhood was very happy I wouldn't change anything.  I am very lucky girl. As an only child I spent most of my childhood with my parents, who become my friends and role models. My mum is very caring, sometimes too much ;) and my dad is my teacher because I learned a lot from him. He taught me how to ride a bicycle and swim. Besides my parents, I wa

Experimenting day

Image
Today I tried to be more productive in artistic way. I prepared space for painting on my desk and started experimenting with gouache, watercolour and procreate. This day gave me a lot of enjoyment and excitement to play. I painted with couple of my new brushes. I realised that my paintings looks greater when I use better quality brush. I mixed colours to achieve different tones and shades. Gouache is quite stiff medium by own but when you add water and do right consistency you can manipulate the paint in different ways. For my first painting I added to much water for my gouache thus looks more translusent like was painted with watercolour.  Drawings on procreate . .   Markers
