 What do I know about Graphic Designer - Illustration

1) What should I be doing in my subject are? 

In my subject area I will be creating visual concepts to communicate information I will design billboards, posters, packaging, branding, logos, marketing materials.  I should practicing both digital art and traditional painting and drawing skills. For digital art I should develop learning software such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe In design and different tools which I haven't learned yet.  Regarding to traditional art I should master painting using various media such as watercolour, gouache, colourful pencils, markers etc.  Developing communication skills. Select the layout, images, colours, text for the design. Learn typography, shapes, colours, images. I will be learning and developing communication with clients and consumers. I will have to study design briefs.


2) What skills and knowledge do I need for my subject area?

For my subject area I need knowledge of art and technology. Traditional drawing and painting skills and digital art skills using various software. Communication, time management, presentational skills, team working skills, attention to details and problem solving are also important accomplishment.


3) What jobs can I get by studying in this subject? 

JOBS: Book designer, Advertising Art director, Creative director, Graphic Designer, Illustrator, Product Designer, Industrial Designer, Marketing Manager, Campaign Manager, Multimedia Artist,  Web Designer, Digital media assistant, Art Director, Print Media, Art production manager, package Designer, Brand Identity developer, Visual Image Developer, Visual journalist, Interface Designer, Ux designer, Ui designer, Animator, Freelancer, 


4) If I scored myself out of ten, with ten being the highest , how well do I think I know my own subject area?

I have to give myself a score of 3 because I just started my adventure to become a Graphic Designer  I do not have a lots experience and knowledge and  I have to develop better technical and linguistic skills.
