DRAWING FROM TEXT



During this lesson, we were told to draw after reading this sentence down below


‘You can see a face it is a man's face, grizzly and marked, his mouth is but a black slit and his hair a nest of dirty matted strands, his eyes are emerald green, piercing and shining, looking right at you, seeing into you…’

We had 20 minutes for this exercise and we draw the image on an A4 piece of paper.


firstly I read the text carefully to be sure what I have to draw. 
I drew a man with emerald green, shiny eyes staring at me. His mouth is black and hair in a mess.

characteristic of Chinese dragon

Dragon is a mythological Chinese animal who serves as the protector of humanity, not its destroyer. It is not a monstrous beast to be slayed by the medieval knight, but a source of strength and wisdom.  In China the dragon  has been present in the pictoral form since the 9th century and is shown as fearsome and powerful but at the same time helpful and protective creature. I had a short online meeting with the tutor, we talked about my progress on the major project. He suggested that I should try out some sketches by hand of my logo in different approaches such as flowers surrounding the text/behind the text etc.  Tutor advised me that I should post my paintings techniques exercises and practice those techniques in my flower painting.
