Research about Types of Logo

 Logo it is sign, symbol for easy recognition and mark of identity representing a business, brand or company.  It is first impression which somebody sees of somebody's brand. Logo is the first door when come into a brand or experience a business for the first time. 

Logo is very important it is key to have effective business or brand. 

Type of logos:

1) Logomarks (pictorial marks) - it is mainly just symbol, icon e.g. Toyota, Nike, Pepsi, Apple, Mercedes, The Target bullseye





2) Word Mark (Logotypes) - lettering e.g. Disney, Coca-Cola, Kellogg's, Ray Ban, Virgin, Visa, Google


 
   



3) Lettermark - similar to Word Mark but it is monogram just one, two or few letter to create one symbol e.g. HP, Volkswagen, Mc Donald's, 





4) Combination mark - topography and a symbol or a mark e.g. KFC, Burger King, Adidas, Converse, Puma, Dominos Pizza, Doritos, Lacoste




5) Emblem - badge format design e.g. Starbucks Coffee, Harley-Davidson, Harvard





6) Abstract logo marks e.g. Adidas, Pepsi, BP







7) Mascots - logos include illustrated character e.g. KFC

  1. We discussed what to research - looking at logos like this is all very well, but how relevant is it to your project? These are companies that target a very different type of customer. Your customers will be local and will want to use independent stores, something that none of these logos represent. We looked at examples of local florist logos in Leicester, you should REALLY post these examples as a follow up post to this one to demonstrate that you understand WHO and WHERE you are focusing your design towards.
