Vivienne Cawson Flowers in watercolour In her career, Vivienne Cawson has worked as a designer of printed carpets, art and design teacher and a professional painter. She is a Leicester educated watercolour artist and she specialises in flowers and portraits. Her work is inspired by colours and shapes of flowers, pieces of fabric, tablecloths and her favourite jugs. She runs workshops and exhibitions all over UK and her watercolours can be bought in the form of accessories, artcards, books, calendars cushions, gift cards, greeting cards, bookmarks, original art, portraits, floral watercolours and prints. Flowers, which are a universal symbol of beauty, are a traditional decorative motive and can be used on many different surfaces and products. Her selection of products is an inspiration for what I would like to achieve in my project for florist shop accessories. This is a really good effort, a lot of ideas here....but as last term, not enough explanation of your thought processes. Part of your ability to communicate as an artist is to be able to write about your work as well as use the visual aspect. Add commentary on what you are doing here and make it clearer.
ReplyDeleteIt is important to understand the role of these images - Geisha 5 & 7 in particular are really strong drawings and further evidence that you have been improving your ability in terms of your drawing practise.
