FRANCISCO Jose de GOYA y Lucientes was a Spanish romantic painter of the late 18th century and printmaker born in 30 of March 1746 in Fuendetodos in Spain and died in 16 April 1828 in Bordeaux in France. He was know as Goya. The focus of his works was subjectivity, imagination and emotion. He closely observed what was happening around him and commented on it in his works. His observations were an inspiration for later modern art. He was inspired by the strange and the supernatural and his paintings often included dreamlike images. His observations of the political and social scene led to the humorous, satirical commentary in his paintings. His style was lavish, his brushwork is at times loose and spontaneous and in his later works much rougher and raw. He played with light and shadow and his palette was mostly warm, He was famous also for his etching and aquatint. Add some commentary on what your next step will be from the tutorial, the kinds of things you want to learn this term and how you are planning on building on what you did in Term 2 when you achieved a lot with the improving digital and painting skills. There is no reason why you shouldn't do something similar this term, perhaps if you look at using better quality paper/painting materials for your painting investigation or try more complex outcomes in Illustrator or Photoshop.
