Smart objectives


The Graphic Design - Illustration project I will carry out this term will use the theme of Oriental Surprise and will use the concept of 'Asian culture and traditions. I will design four book covers of fairy tales series for children  (2D) using traditional and digital drawings. I will then create one physical piece (3D) Poster using cardboard, watercolour, gouache, and collage techniques and Mock ups. I will scan this completed piece to add to my portfolio. The target market for this series of books will be children aged 10-15years old. I will research Artist which are designing paintings and drawing oriental culture.  The complete digital portfolio will be presented in a flipbook on my website by the deadline at the beginning of June.

1) Japanese Geisha

2) Indian Bride

3) Traditions of China ( Dragon, Panda, Lantern, Chinese building, Chinese ceramic Dinnerware set, Kung Fu, Chinese New Year, China Tiger, 

4) 



SPECIFIC

My project will be 4 (2D) book covers for a fairy tales series based on the oriental traditions and style The target market for this series of books will be  children aged 6-14 years. I will also make 3D advertising poster .


MEASURABLE

This project is measurable because I will know it is completed when I have 4 book covers (2D) , Advertisment poster (3D) and Moc ups of this poster.


ACHIEVABLE

This project is achievable if I will be systematic. I think I will be able to complete this project on time.


RELEVENT


TIME BASED

The deadline for this project is the 7th of June, so I have about 2 months to complete it.

  1. Ok so far, although I think it is worth considering your 3D piece a bit more carefully, but we can discuss that in the tutorial this week.
