REFLECTION

Image
Reflection on my work in the second term    This term went quickly. I expected  that this term would  be stressful, and I would have to write many posts on my blog.  I mainly focused on creating my major project, which was branding for a florist shop. I have finally started learning new software -  adobe photoshop and adobe illustrator. This was very demanding for me because I hadn’t used these programs before.  I watched many tutorials on the internet,  I read instructions and tried to recreate what these graphic designers were showing but achieving satisfactory results was nearly impossible as to capture every step of the video, I had to pause every minute. I had been failing for a long time and I almost lost my motivation. I had constant doubts and I was nervous because it was so painful for me to learn on my own. I wish that I had had a chance to learn this programs before I enrolled on the course. I honestly cannot wait to learn about these programs professionally, step by step.

Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator

Photoshop is an incredible program that allows us to remix our pics, swap backgrounds, fix flaws and imperfections, mix up colours, add effects, add details everything in a few clicks. Photoshop has many powerful tools which could edit, mash-up and blend photos and graphics, change colours and effects and give our images the better interesting and creative look that everybody will adore. We can create an unexpected and creative project. We have to grab inspiration from everything  Personally, my favourite tool in this program are: Magic Wand Tool Magnetic Lasso Tool Pen Tool Spot healing brush tool Gradient tool  My new Motto as a future graphic designer - illustrator : Go wherever your imagination takes you. Be inspired by everything you see, hear and feel that is around you.  I boost my skills and learned the basics of Adobe Photoshop and adobe illustrator by watching many tutorials.

DRAWING FROM TEXT

Image
During this lesson, we were told to draw after reading this sentence down below ‘ You can see a face it is a man's face, grizzly and marked, his mouth is but a black slit and his hair a nest of dirty matted strands, his eyes are emerald green, piercing and shining, looking right at you, seeing into you…’ We had 20 minutes for this exercise and we draw the image on an A4 piece of paper. firstly I read the text carefully to be sure what I have to draw.  I drew a man with emerald green, shiny eyes staring at me. His mouth is black and hair in a mess.

Van Mock ups

Image
Mockups are fantastic they help bring design to the life. Mockups are full-size models of a design or device used for presentation or other purposes. This shows off how the design will actually look when it will be put out into the real world, depending on the skills and time I could go for the process of creating my own mock-ups using dedicated graphics software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.  Sometimes might be better of using more basic tools for example:  place it -  https://placeit.net Mockups-design -  https://mockups-design.com ........ they are powerful platforms that offer an incredibly diverse Mock-ups library that I could use in combination with an online generator that does all the work much easier.
